Abstract We have explored an extended seesaw model accommodating a keV sterile neutrino adopting U (1) B − L symmetry. This provides natural platform for achieving resonant leptogenesis to account the observed baryon asymmetry of Universe (BAU). The required lepton is sourced by CP violating decay lightest heavy right-handed Standard Model leptons and Higgs. presence light in brings out enhancement final through additional self-energy contribution. Adopting proper treatment all washout processes this framework strictly favors strong regime thereby protecting low energy mass parameters agreement with present cosmology data. scheme offers source matter–antimatter without any severe fine-tuning Yukawa couplings governing tiny mass. also comment on half-life period neutrinoless double beta process background having satisfying constraints which guide explanation BAU.
